In partnership with The Home Team this benefit will showcase 8-10 homes including The Life House as a means to bring awareness to the necessity of housing accessibility and affordability to all community members and to encourage appreciation of the stability, security and safety a home offers to it’s residents.

All proceeds will benefit The Life House and it’s vision to bring help and home to homeless women and their children.

Homes on Tour

President’s House at Winthrop - 601 Oakland Avenue

Eleanor Roosevelt, Rosalynn Carter, LadyBird Johnson, Amelia Earhart,
Helen Keller, and Diane Sawyer have all been guests! A home that has
served all 14 campus presidents since 1892. A walk through this home
is a walk down memory lane.

Milton Residence - 743 Milton Avenue

A home that has kept with the times; with over 30 years of makeovers and
interior design magic. This home has lovely lush landscaping and a pool
patio that make for a beautiful outdoor oasis.

The Home - 313 North Wilson Street

Built in 1892 by a local veterinarian in the community and now more than 100 years later flourishing as a home for women and children. Purchased by The Life House in 2021, renovated by the support of community and grand
opening February 2023 to provide safe shelter and a pathway to sustainability.

The McCosh Home - 224 East Black Street

The oldest house still existing from the post-civil war period of growth.
The home was originally built in 1872 for Captain Reid H. McCosh, a civil war
veteran and merchant who came to Rock Hill to take advantage of the
growing commerce of the railway center.

Stewart House – 525 Eden Terrace

A rare look at a house devoted to a similar mission, a prosperous farmer from
Fort Mill, W.H. Stewart, built and sold this home to Winthrop for $10,000 in 1912.
Winthrop’s new practice home gave senior women an opportunity to gain
experience while living independently and managing a home.

Heathwood Home - 410 Guilford Rd

A traditional home with charm, curb appeal, and spacious living areas. A welcomed entry and beautifully decorated interior is a sure invitation that many enjoy!

Enchanting Eden Terrace – 772 Eden Terrace

A charming cottage nestled on a familiar street still shines brightly today. Built
in 1937, standing ninety years young and with only two owners, this white brick
home is a showcase of originality and character.

True Transitional Home – 736 McDow Street

The house that love built! At TrueHomes, they don’t just build houses: they nurture communities with love. An incredibly generous gift from TrueHomes to The Life House is a transitional house for women to live independently and gain steps towards self-sufficiency and home management.
